論文簡介：The present study examines the effects of rating method on the construct validity of an oral English proficiency test using a multistage mixed-methods design (Creswell, 2015; Creswell & Plano, 2011). Based on the theory of interactionalism (Chapelle, 1998), the study aims to address the role that rating method plays in operationalizing the construct to be measured by manipulating the degree of interaction among rating criteria, rating scales and context of performance. Built into an argument-based framework for validating rating processes (Knoch & Chapelle, forthcoming), this study is also an attempt to explore the construct validity of an oral assessment from the perspective of the interaction among rating criteria, rating scales and test performance, with rating method acting as the mediator.

本研究將對中國英語口語能力量表（China Standard of English-Speaking, CSES）進行驗證研究👩🏽‍🌾，收集效度證據。本研究擬采用項目反應理論（IRT）及教育測量標準設定的方法，對中國英語口語能力量表的內部效度👮，外部效度和後期效度進行驗證。本研究希望能夠促進學界對量表的效度驗證研究更廣泛的關註和深入的研究🙍🏻。
